My husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. I've never dealt with organising a funeral before and not knowing what my husband would have wanted made it more difficult. I discussed what my husband used to say to Steve and to see if thought along the same lines, direct cremation but with a service day before cremation. Steve made my husband service 100% perfect. I can not thank all the staff at wass enough, they were all absolutely friendly, compassionate and brilliant. A Wass Funeral Directors did my mum's funeral. Absolutely every aspect was perfect - we experienced respect and dignity from every person we spoke to; every question we asked was answered promptly and sympathetically. Planning a funeral, especially when very unexpected is extremely difficult, but the staff at A Wass were fantastic. They were professional, knowledgeable, incredibly caring & empathetic. They guided us each step of the way from our initial meeting, through the day of the funeral & even afterwards by checking to see how we were doing a number of weeks later. They are caring and do an amazing job my Dad looked so at piece in the Chapel of rest with everything I had given them nothing is to much trouble I delt mostly with Tony all I can say is top guy u made me feel at ease at a time I'm really struggling and yesterday u took him on his final journey which ment alot 10 out 10 wouldn't use anyone else Paul sorted Dads funeral from home as he was to poorly to sort it again caring listened to what he wanted Thank u all so much x Diane Parnell Savage

Steve was the celebrant for my cousin at Mansfield Crematorium on the 25th of July. He made it so poignant and personal. Firstly I would like to rate A Wass 5 star and more and I would recommend Paul Brown and the team to anyone. From start to finish when I rang and spoke to Tony, advising him that Mum had passed away. He was so kind and Mum was collected from home within 20 minutes by Steve and Alan with great care and compassion. When Paul visited my sister and I to discuss the funeral arrangements, he was so professional and supportive and when liaising with Olivia to make sure the Order of Service was perfect, she was lovely and so patient with me. When I visited the office to discuss the content of the Eulogy I had sent to Steve, he was so kind, calming and again patient with me when I made changes and his timing on the delivery at Church was impeccable. I must mention how beautifully Mum was dressed and made up by Olivia too and I must thank Alan for his kindness when we visited Mum in the Chapel of Rest along with Tony again for doing exactly what I had asked him to do with the music in Church, by playing all 3 tunes we had chosen to the end. 14/06/2024 Elaine Pritchard
