We were only chatting on the 19th June, and laughing about your retirement. you said you were hoovering and sent a photo of it to your friend who retired at the same time, and he had sent you a photo of his baked bread. Your humour always made me chuckle. You were and are loved by everyone who met you. The kindest person I've ever met from work. It's still not sunk in, that you have gone so soon. Kurt, you were someone I always looked up to — not just for what you did, but for the kind of person you were. You were my rock while I was growing up, and I leaned on you more than I ever let on. You helped me through so much — more than you probably ever realised. I don’t think I ever properly said thank you. Some of my favourite memories are the times we’d get into trouble together — and laugh about it like nothing else mattered. I’ll never forget that night playing pool at your place, I laughed so loud the deaf neighbour complained! You had so many hidden talents too. I still remember when you gave me that hoodie — it fit perfectly, and I was shocked when you casually said, "I made it!" So many memories… Thank you, Kurt. You’ll always be in my heart and thoughts.
