I was deeply saddened to hear of Trudi’s passing. She was one of the first people who made me feel so welcome when I started at the school over 20 years ago, and we worked together on the work experience programme for the students. Trudi was always so kind, caring, and full of laughter – just a truly lovely person. I remember seeing her at the hospital when she was there for a check-up; she was still the same warm and cheerful Trudi. We had a lovely catch-up, and I’ll always remember holding her beautiful hands and chatting as we used to. She will be greatly missed x

I don't think you ever realised Trudi what an amazing teacher you were! My daughter Emma struggled at school but loved your childcare lessons. You taught her and others so much, I am sure that's why she handled being a new mum so well! Mind you, I will never forget your face when some of the students had the " real life" robot babies. Especially when one girl said she had honestly been looking after it, but somehow it's head came off!! Fondest memory, you bursting through the reception door to tell us your daughter had just got her university final grades. You were so proud and excited! The world is a darker place tonight without someone as wonderful as you in it Trudi. My heart aches for all your family and friends!

Oh Mrs McCormack - this is heartbreaking to read. Firstly, thank you so much for just being the most amazing teacher; full of kindness, wisdom and encouragement. You’re the reason I became a nurse, and I’m 15 years qualified in and I often think of you and your guidance being the reason I went for that open day all those years ago. Sending so much love to your family and friends at such a sad time.xxx

Trudi was a newly qualified teacher and I was in her first class. She was so beautiful with very long hair, high heeled wedge sandals and so much style. I loved being in her class , she left a lasting impression and I still remember all that she taught me. I then taught in the same family of schools as Trudi. Years later she taught my daughter and she was thrilled. She was always so lovely with us. She will be missed so much. Deepest condolences to her family whom she loved dearly ❤️

I knew Trudi my whole life coming from the same village. Being 6 years younger than her, I remember as a child being in awe of her elegance and beauty, the village beauty. I was a childhood friend of her younger sister, Isobel, and was fortunate to rekindle the connections between us all over the past 20 years in Portugal where I live. My partner Joao and I shared so much with Mac and Trudi and all their family who have all visited often to their home here. Today, Joao and I walked in our favourite spot along the Armacao beach front, a walk we shared countless times on the sea front of Armacoa de Pera with Mac and Trudi - such precious memories. Today we have a deep sadness and a large void in our lives. Trudi is irreplaceable. With love & heartfelt thoughts, Andy and Joao xx

Thank you Trudi for always being so kind to me over the years, for always feeding me and for never judging me as your daughter’s crazy haired friend. Your memory will forever live on through Lucy, Kate and your beautiful Grandchildren. May you rest in peace
